5: EAT RIGHT FOR MORE GOOD QI

Next to the air we breath, food is our biggest source of energy. If you eat the right food in the right amounts on the right moment and in the right setting, you will feel energised. Of course, your digestive track needs to function well too, so you can properly absorb the nutrients and release the rest.

This week we will focus on the well functioning of your digestive track with a yin flow for your digestive track. Next to that there will be a short dynamic yogaflow to activate the fire in your belly for good digestion.

Time needed: 40 minutes

Props needed: bolster, 2 blankets, rope

Let a beautiful meal cook in your oven during the time you practise yoga and you will be in the right mood for eating.

Keep it simple. Choose some organic vegetables you love, add some coconut oil and a hint of turmeric, pepper and salt. Put them in a pot with a lid to keep the flavours. Let it cook during your yoga.

Eat your biggest meal at noon whenever that fits with your schedule, because at that time your digestive fire is the strongest.

Enjoy your meal in a quiet peaceful environment and rest for some minutes after your meal. After 5 minutes of rest, go for a 20 minute easy walk, whenever you have the opportunity.

And no stress if you can’t get it all “right” at once, just little steps in the right direction whenever you can will make all the difference.
